My name is Jeri Banks.
I live in Fonda, Iowa. To travel back and forth to work each week, I have to drive about 250 miles per week. Alone. I have my drivers license and my own vehicle. Many times I've wanted to run to the store for one or two items or even run to Spencer or Fort Dodge to go to unique stores there. Unfortunately, more often than not I end up not going for only one reason. Gas Prices! They're killing me. It's gotten to the point that I'm considering getting a second job just to afford the transportation. I can't imagine what I'm doing to the environment. This concerns me.

Since I can't afford a fancy new hybrid car, but have to go to work everyday I started thinking of ways to handle the situation.
